From development to performance under pressure

At Trebu Technology, innovation starts with engineering and ends with proven performance. All systems are designed and developed in-house at our Rotterdam facility, where quality, reliability and durability are central throughout the entire process.

To ensure our hydraulic systems perform under the most demanding conditions, extensive testing is integrated into every stage of development.

From prototype to real-world application

Before a product reaches full production, it goes through multiple testing phases. New prototypes are first tested extensively in our R&D center. Once validated, they are installed in real-world applications to verify performance under actual operating conditions.

After successful on-site testing, the system is ready for series production. Even then, every finished system which we produce is tested again before leaving our factory to guarantee consistent quality.

Four key testing phases

To validate performance and reliability, each new prototype undergoes a structured testing process consisting of four essential phases.

Durability testing

Durability testing focuses on the lifespan of braking systems. By simulating a high number of braking cycles in a short period of time, we are able to predict long-term performance. This allows us to identify wear patterns early and continuously improve the strength and durability of our systems.

Friction testing

Friction plays a crucial role in braking performance. Trebu has developed its own friction test to measure braking force, heat development and wear of friction materials. Using a dedicated test bench, these factors are carefully analysed to ensure consistent and reliable braking behaviour.

Salt testing

Many of our systems are used in offshore environments, where exposure to salt, wind and harsh weather conditions is inevitable. Our salt spray test evaluates whether the applied protection meets the required environmental standards, ensuring long-term resistance against corrosion.

Temperature testing

Trebu systems are used in a wide range of climates. Our temperature tests, ranging from -40 to +70 degrees Celsius, ensure that materials and components continue to perform reliably under extreme temperature conditions.

Continuous innovation through testing

Testing is not just a validation step. It is a key driver for innovation. By analysing test data and real-world performance, we continuously improve our systems and push the boundaries of what is possible.

At Trebu Technology, every product is built to perform, tested to last and designed to meet the highest standards.
